This simple pasta recipe with minimal ingredients is versatile and can be modified per the preference of toppings, etc.
Ingredients:
- Pasta - 1 lb
- Garlic - 6-8 cloves
- Bell peppers - 1 cup, thinly sliced
- Black olives - 0.5 cup (optional)
- Black pepper powder - 0.5 tsp
- Red chili garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Basil - 8-10 leaves
- Parmesan cheese - 2 tbsp
Method:
- In a pasta pot, cook the pasta 'al dente' (firm to the bite) in water and salt
- Drain it, wash with cold water and keep aside
- In some oil, saute the garlic cloves until they turn slightly brown
- Add the bell peppers and saute on high flame
- When the oil separates, add black pepper powder, red chili garlic paste and salt
- To this, add the pasta and toss well so that all the pasta is coated with the spices and veggies
- Sprinkle parmesan and basil. Mix well
- Serve hot
