Quick Oats Oatmeal

A nutritious warm breakfast, especially for those colder winter mornings!  Can be easily personalized for each member of the family with the toppings of their choice.  With the wafting fragrance of preferred spices and enriched with natural ingredients, this sure makes a sumptuous beginning for the day. 


Ingredients:

  • Oatmeal - 0.25 cup
  • Milk (or) vegan milk - less than 0.5 cup
  • Brown sugar - 1 tsp
  • Ground mace (or) cinnamon (or) cloves (or) cardamom (or) vanilla - 1 pinch
  • Mixed fruit and nuts of choice - 4 tsp

Method:

  • Place the oatmeal in a microwave-safe bowl 
  • Add milk to it (just enough for the oatmeal to be immersed)
  • Add spice powder (mace or cinnamon or cloves or cardamom or vanilla) and sugar to it
  • Set aside for 5 mins 
  • Microwave for a minute
  • Top with chopped dry fruit and nuts and mix well
  • Enjoy a hot and nutritious breakfast! 


Tips and Tricks:

  • When oatmeal and milk is set aside for a few minutes, it gives a softer texture and incorporates flavors better
