Chikoo Milkshake

This quick shake is so yummy that it will become a family-favorite in no time.  Sugar-free, preservative-free, guilt-free, and..., most importantly, struggle-free while enticing the kids too!


Ingredients:

  • Chikoo fruit - 4 (or) Frozen chikoos - 1 bag
  • Milk (or) vegan milk - 2 cups
  • Ice - 0.5 cup (optional) 
  • Jaggery (or) sugar - 2 tsp (optional)

Method:

  • Peel and deseed the chikoos (Alternatively, frozen ones can be used any time of the year)
  • Place the chikoo pieces, milk and jaggery (if using) in a blender jar, along with ice (if using)
  • Run the blender in 'milkshake' mode or just any medium speed setting
  • Pour into serving cups
  • Serve cold


Tips and Tricks:

  • Chikoos are generally very sweet and don't need additional sweetener.  Check fruit before adding anything extra
  • Chikoos give enough body to the milkshake. Ice may make it too thick
  • If the milkshake is too thick, add a little more milk and pulse it
