Methi (Fenugreek) Sprouts Salad

This is a very simple recipe with not many steps to follow, yet an amazingly delicious and highly nutritious one!  Takes a little patience and preparation to sprout the seeds.  When sprouts are ready, it takes just a few minutes to put this dish together.

A special tidbit:  Methi (fenugreek) is cooling to the body.  It is believed to make one stronger and strengthen the back.  It is given especially to women/girls after childbirth or upon attaining puberty!  


Ingredients:

  • Methi (fenugreek) seeds sprouts - 1 cup
  • Grated coconut - 4 tbsp
  • Lemon - 1  
  • Green chili paste - 0.5 tsp
  • Salt

Method:

  • Zest the lemon and squeeze the juice
  • Mix in all the ingredients together in a large bowl 
  • Serve immediately


Tips and Tricks:

  • Methi seeds have a slightly bitter flavor naturally. Proper proportions of salt, chili and lemon will work wonders!  
  • It is better to use grated coconut generously to balance all the flavors
